Notts Forest Record Breaker

I was third hand in the Notts Forest when she broke the port and company record for a vessel under 140 feet in March 1977. Our 1,878 kits sold for ₤56,887 on Friday, 11th March after an 18-day trip to the White Sea - which meant our oldest fish was only 11 days old!
Apart from the good trip, the weather was mainly like a mill pond and the cod itself was about 6 foot long so we were never on deck for very long gutting! The washer got jammed a few times though!!
